in Humboldt’s restored former City Hall building, the West Tennessee Regional Art Center takes pride in being Tennessee’s only permanent fine art museum between Nashville and Memphis.
The permanent collection was donated by Dr. Benjamin and Gertrude Caldwell for the purpose of cultural education for people of all ages throughout West Tennessee. Oil paintings, sculpture, watercolor paintings, drawings, prints and lithographs, pastels, and silk-screens comprise the Caldwell Collection.
The Downstairs Galleries provide a changing showcase for works by regional artists. In addition, with advance reservations, WTRAC offers guided tours. Complimentary hands-on art activities are available for children in groups of six or more.
